Mission

Salem Senior Services is a department of the Town of Salem. The mission of Salem Senior Services is to:

  • Assist the Town of Salem's Senior Citizens in maintaining self-sufficiency in their homes
  • Acquaint them with local, county, state and federal programs
  • Increase their opportunities to interact in the community
  • Provide them with a Center which fosters mental, physical, social and nutritional well-being in a wholesome environment

Who is Eligible

Salem residents 60 years of age or older. All participants must register. General participation is free for Salem residents. Due to the high volume of participation within our Senior Center, we are no longer accepting new full non-resident registrations. However, since our outdoor activities do not impact the strain on our building and parking capacities, we may accept additional non-resident registrations, with a limit to outdoor only activities for only $25 per year, including:

  • Aquarobics (at the Salem Athletic Club - special pricing for Ingram Senior Center members)
  • Golf
  • Horseshoes
  • Pickleball
  • Tennis
  • Zumba Gold (at the Salem Athletic Club - special pricing for Ingram Senior Center members)

A guest pass is available for a visiting guest of a registered participant. Guest pass fee: $5 per person, per visit (a guest pass is not permitted for pre-registered paid classes)
