Code Enforcement Officer- Part-Time

The Town of Salem, NH seeks a Part-Time (24 hours/week) Code Enforcement Officer to perform a variety of routine interpretation and enforcement of land development regulations and related ordinances.  The position requires considerable public contact and requires accuracy and strong communication and organization skills. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in public administration, planning or equivalent field and 3-5 years’ prior municipal service in the field of code enforcement and/or law enforcement; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Bachelor’s degree in public administration, planning or related field is preferred and can substitute for a portion of professional experience. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Starting pay $28.89/hour with holidays and paid time off benefits.  Pre-employment testing will include educational and criminal background.
