Candidates interested in running for any position must file the required paperwork in person at the Town Clerk’s Office during the filing period, which begins January 21, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. and ends January 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Salem's Engineering Department is announcing the improvements to the intersection at Route 28 (South Broadway) and Rockingham Park Boulevard have recently begun. These improvements will result in include road widening, new traffic signals and reconfiguration of the intersection for additional traffic lanes.
Funding for these projects is a combination of NHDOT and Tuscan Development. The project was approved by the Board of Selectmen on May 3, 2021 and final design plans were approved by the NHDOT on June 6, 2022. Construction is scheduled to be completed in fall, 2024.
Expect minor traffic delays during active construction.
The Town of Salem would like to remind the community that the 2025 Town Meeting election is on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Polls are open from 7 AM to 7 PM at all polling locations.
