Our Mission:
The Department of Human Resources supports the Town of Salem. Our mission is to serve employees, retirees, and citizens of the Town in a manner that reflects the Town's core values and diverse culture. The Department of Human Resources (HR) strives to provide effective, efficient, and proactive human resource services. The functions performed by HR include planning and administering policies, practices, and procedures relating to all phases of personnel activity within the Town of Salem. Additionally, HR oversees the recruitment and retention of employees and strives to ensure that all conditions of employment are managed fairly, timely, and in an equitable manner.
