Honor Guard

Mission

It is the mission of the Salem Police Department Honor Guard to assist Law Enforcement by providing the highest level of honor guard services through professionalism and respect.

Responsibilities

The members have committed themselves to supporting and honoring officers killed in the line of duty and their families. This unit has helped to bring humanity to law enforcement and its losses to the forefront of the public’s attention.

Over the years, members of the Salem Police Department Honor Guard unit have supported funeral and memorial services across the New England States. The unit has also attended National Police Week activities in Washington, DC.

Staff

The Salem Police Honor Guard was formed as an Official Memorial Unit of the Salem New Hampshire Police Department. Through the years, the Honor Guard has grown to an 11 Officer unit. 

Funding

This unit has been financially sustained through donations and fundraisers to maintain uniforms and equipment. Through the support of generous donations, the Salem Police Honor Guard will continue to honor members of the law enforcement community and their families who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
