Project Description
Reconstruction of the Depot Intersection requires significant widening on Broadway (NH Route 28). This widening is primarily required to accommodate new designated left turn lanes. The roadway widening will occur exclusively on the west side of Broadway from Number 28 South Broadway through the intersection to Number 1 North Broadway. A total of seven properties have been acquired in full, by the NHDOT, who handled acquisition through its Right-of-Way (ROW) Bureau and processes. The business owners affected by the takings were paid market value for their properties and also received funding to support relocation and re-establishment of their businesses.
The Building Demolition Contract, which includes demolition of seven structures and proper handling or remediation of hazardous materials, was awarded to the Aulson Company LLC. Work was completed in 2020.
