Overview
The Planning Board consists of 7 residents who are elected by Town voters. They are required by State and Town laws to review all subdivisions of land, including lot line adjustments, and all site plans for commercial and multi-family residential projects. The Board meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 7 pm in the Knightly Meeting Room at Town Hall. Their meetings are televised on Cable Station 23 and can be viewed live or afterward at www.sgc23.com.
The Planning Division serves as staff support for the Planning Board, meeting with applicants and abutters to review plans, preparing agendas and comments from other Town officials and consultants, and attending meetings.
