The Commission is responsible for developing an inventory for the identification and protection of the historic properties in the Town, including: Areas, Buildings, Monuments, Sites, Burial Grounds, and Structures.

The Historic District Commission consists of 5 resident members and 1 representative from the Town Council. Members are appointed by the Town Council annually in April for 3 year terms.
