Project Details
The Town of Salem completed reconstruction of the South Policy Street Bridge over Porcupine Brook during the 2011 construction season. The project consisted of full replacement of the existing structure built in 1935 with a precast concrete rigid frame structure. The project also involved "full box" reconstruction of the adjacent roadway including new pavement, drainage improvements, and guardrail replacement. The project begins at the MacGregor Avenue intersection and extends north of the bridge approximately 500-feet. The project was funded 80% by the NH Department of Transportation (NHDOT) Municipally Managed Bridge Program.
