Project Details

The Town of Salem completed the reconstruction of Providence Hill Road Bridge over the Providence Hill Brook during the 2013 construction season. Prior to replacement the existing bridge was on the NH Department of Transportation (NHDOT) "red list". The project consisted of full replacement of a metal pipe arch structure with a precast concrete rigid frame structure. The project also involved reconstruction of the adjacent roadway including reclamation of the existing road, new pavement, drainage improvements, and guardrail replacement. The project begins at the Shannon Road intersection and extends west to the Atkinson Road intersection.
