Main Street & Salem Rail Trail Box Culvert Replacement

The Town of Salem will complete the final planned projects with the culvert replacements at Main Street and at South Broadway stream crossings as part of a long term plan to mitigate flooding along Policy Brook and its tributaries. The Town of Salem has historically been impacted due to flooding events caused by undersized structures resulting in road closures, property damage and delayed emergency response times. Structural integrity of the two structures is severely compromised further defining the need for replacement.

Preliminary project design is ongoing.
